Buildings, using sunlight, can address indoor energy demand (pictured). Adopt a number of key technologies

“Through the comprehensive utilization of solar energy, it can meet the needs of indoor power generation, hot water supply, and dehumidification,” said Professor Ji Jie, associate dean of China University of Science and Engineering, and this small building has an area of ​​about 270 square meters and the construction process takes time. Over the past year, he and his research team have personally done everything from building design to the development of photovoltaic photo-thermal equipment, to the design and installation of solar building integrated systems.

“The characteristics of the demonstration building are mainly based on the idea of ​​comprehensive utilization of solar photovoltaic and solar thermal buildings.” Ji Jie said that at present, the development of solar energy in the international are photovoltaic and solar thermal. The former has high costs, low efficiency, and it is difficult to make technological breakthroughs; the latter is widely used and relatively economical. This solar small building is a comprehensive utilization of the two, which improves efficiency, reduces costs, and achieves better results.

It is understood that many of the key technologies used in this demonstration building are independently developed by Ji Jie's team, such as photovoltaic water heaters, photovoltaic Trombe wall devices, passive dual-effect collectors, active dual-effect collectors, etc. .

One device implements multiple functions

Photovoltaic water heaters can not only provide electricity, but also can prepare hot water; passive double-effect collectors provide hot water for buildings in spring, summer and autumn, and in winter, they use natural convection to realize heating in rooms facing south; active The double-effect collector transports hot air to the north room through the fan's drive in winter, and hot water in other seasons. Several core devices of this small building have dual “missions”.

“Making the equipment multifunctional is also an important consideration in the design and construction of small buildings.” Ji Jie explained that using one device to achieve multiple functions can not only improve the comprehensive utilization efficiency of energy, but also reduce the cost of comprehensive utilization of equipment. For modern buildings, installation space can also be effectively saved.

He said that several key original technologies in small buildings have important promotional value.
