Carbon brush maintenance work is an important task in the operation of wound-wound asynchronous motors. The spark between the slip ring and the carbon brush is a direct expression of the loss of normal working conditions during sliding contact and diversion. 1. Installation of the brush: The brush should be installed in the brush holder to ensure that it can move up and down freely. The gap between the side of the brush and the inner wall of the brush holder should be between 0.1-0.3 mm, so as to avoid the gap between the brush and the brush holder. And the swing is produced. The distance between the lower edge of the brush holder and the surface of the collector ring (slip ring) should be within 2-3 mm, the distance is too small, the brush holder is easy to touch the reversing brush; if it is too large, the brush is easy to be broken and cause damage. .

2, the pressure of the brush: the spring pressure applied to the brush should be as uniform as possible, especially the brush used in parallel, otherwise it will lead to uneven load of each brush. Different springs have different spring pressures. For motors with higher peripheral speeds, the brush pressure should also be increased appropriately, but excessive pressure will increase the wear of the brush. The brush pressure can be adjusted by referring to the data in the brush technical performance table.

3, replace the new brush: brush to the original height of 2 / 3 or 1/2 will need to replace the new brush. When replacing a new brush, the old brush should be completely removed from the motor. The new brush should be replaced in the same model and specifications as the original brush. The collector ring (slip ring) of the same motor is not allowed to mix two or more types of brushes.

4. Maintenance of the brush: When the motor is running, the surface of the collector ring (slip ring) often maintains a bright brown oxide film, which will lower the friction coefficient with the contact voltage of the stable brush and reduce the brush collection. Wear of the ring (slip ring).

5. Turning and cleaning of the collector ring (slip ring): When the ellipticity of the motor slip ring (slip ring) exceeds 0.02 mm, it should be turned and ground to avoid the eccentricity of the brush due to the slip ring (slip ring). Too big and tremble.

6. Due to the frequent start-up of some motors, the copper conductive ring has a short service life and frequent replacement. If it is changed to a steel ring, the service life will be improved.

7. In order to avoid the collector ring, it is required to clean the entire collector ring after each stop of the high-voltage motor, check the carbon brush condition (whether it is stuck in the brush box, whether it is skewed, whether all the surface is tightly set The electric ring, whether the pressure is too high or too low), needs to be replaced when the carbon brush wears only 25-30mm; when the surface of the collector ring wears, the groove needs to be replaced.
