How to maintain a turbocharged engine?

The turbocharger uses the exhaust gas from the engine to drive the turbine. Since the working environment is often at high speed and high temperature, the temperature of the turbocharger exhaust gas turbine is above 600 degrees. Therefore, in order to ensure the normal operation of the supercharger, The correct use and maintenance is very important.

1. After the engine of the car is started, the accelerator pedal should not be slammed. It should be idling for three minutes. This is to increase the temperature of the oil and improve the flow performance, so that the turbocharger is fully lubricated.

2. After the engine runs at high speed for a long time, it cannot be turned off immediately. The reason is that when the engine is running, some of the oil is supplied to the turbocharger rotor bearing for lubrication and for cooling. After the running engine suddenly stops, the oil lubrication will be interrupted and the heat inside the turbocharger will not be carried away by the oil.

3. Be careful when choosing oil. When using turbocharged car oil, the oil used must have good abrasion resistance, high temperature resistance, and build a lubricating oil film block with high oil film strength and stability. Therefore, in addition to the best use of the original engine oil, the engine oil can also use high-quality lubricants such as synthetic engine oil and semi-synthetic engine oil.

4. Engine oil and filter must be kept clean to prevent impurities from entering, because the clearance between the shaft of the turbocharger and the bushing is small. If the oil lubrication capacity is reduced, the turbocharger will be prematurely scrapped. .

5. The air filter needs to be cleaned on time to prevent impurities such as dust from entering the high-speed rotating compressor impeller, resulting in unstable speed or increased wear of the bushing and seal.

6. Always check that the seal ring of the turbocharger is sealed. Because if the sealing ring is not sealed, the exhaust gas will enter the engine lubrication system through the sealing ring, the oil will be dirty, and the crankcase pressure will rise rapidly, resulting in excessive consumption of oil to produce "burning oil".

7. The turbocharger should always check for abnormal noise or unusual vibration, and there is no leakage of the lubricating oil pipe and joint.

8. The turbocharger rotor bearing has high precision, and the working environment during maintenance and installation is very strict. Therefore, when the supercharger is faulty or damaged, it should be repaired at the designated repair station instead of going to the ordinary repair shop. .
