Chen Demin, research group leader and researcher of the Institute of Metals, told the reporter: At present, horizontal well fracturing technology is mainly used to extract shale oil and gas at home and abroad. The technology can be subdivided into three types: hydraulic injection stage fracturing, open hole packer stage fracturing, and fast drilling bridge plug stage fracturing.

Chen Demin pointed out that the rapid drilling bridge plugs are widely used in Daqing and North America. This technology has many features such as the number of partial pressure sections and the ability to carry out large-displacement construction. In the main technological process of the technology, if the fracturing ball is insoluble, the ball must be returned to the ground and it takes 10 to 15 days; the bridge plug is insoluble and all bridge plugs need to be drilled, which normally takes 1 day.

Ball seats and bridge plugs all play a blocking role. Why hasn't developed soluble bridge plugs and ball seats?

Chen Demin's answer is: On the one hand, the size of the bridge plug is larger, and the larger diameter of the center tube is close to 80 mm. If the powder metallurgy is used as the aluminum composite material processing method, the cost is high and molding is difficult; on the other hand, The reaction temperature of these materials is not controllable, and the reaction temperature with water is too low to ensure that the device does not fail to fail in the water. Especially in the case of the entire bridge plug with 52 parts, it is difficult to take protective measures. In addition, the resin material also has the above-mentioned cost problem. The magnesium-based materials have low strength, low reaction temperature, and the mechanical properties and dissolution properties do not meet the requirements for use. These have affected the development of soluble bridge plugs and ball seats.

The hydrogen storage alloy and application subject group used the casting process to prepare the aluminum alloy. Chen Demin said that the process is characterized by easy molding, and can cast a variety of castings according to the shape and size of the mold; the process has a large capacity, a furnace can cast more than a few hundred kilograms of alloy; alloy smelting under normal pressure, the process is relatively simple, etc. .

Based on this research, Chen Demin stated that the problem of soluble ball seats is relatively simple to solve. What needs to be solved is that the fracturing fluid containing fine sand particles erodes the surface of the inner surface of the ball seat.

The program adopted by the task force was to coat the surface of the parts. Chen Demin said: "The coating must be erosion-resistant, but also have a good bond with the surface of the alloy, the thickness of the coating should be appropriate, do not destroy the shape and size of the part when the coating process is done, do not change the alloy The basic performance, etc.." In short, the research team mainly solved the coating technology of the alloy surface.

Fracturing balls need to be used with ball seats or bridge plugs. The fracturing ball landed on the ball seat and was sealed by the pressure of the fracturing fluid. Because the contact area between the ball and the ball seat is very small, there is a certain requirement for the hardness of the alloy. If the ball is too soft, the ball will be stuck on the ball seat; once the ball cannot be returned, it will be an accident.

The ball made by the research team under the pressure of 70 MPa, deformation is very small, and can control the dissolution time, does not affect the follow-up construction. Chen Demin pointed out that if there is no soluble ball in the country, foreign products can skyrocket. Therefore, from this point of view, having a soluble ball also saves some costs for domestic companies.

With the gradual development of soluble spheres, the scale production of alloys has been raised. Through communication, the current cooperation between the two parties is: the metal is responsible for the optimization of the composition of the alloy, the smelting molding and heat treatment of the casting, and Jilin Xufeng laser is responsible for the mechanical processing and marketing of the product. In March this year, the production equipment was installed in Jilin City and the relevant production processes are currently being debugged.

The soluble ball developed by the research team is gradually gaining recognition in the country. In addition to Daqing Oilfield, soluble ball has also been partially applied to other oil companies. Regarding Qiaosai, Chen Demin also disclosed that there are purchase intentions both at home and abroad. The relevant samples are being tested, and the market application and promotion prospects are promising.
