Recently, Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. submitted a recall report to the AQSIQ in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Productsâ€, and decided to recall from March 1, 2012 to August 28, 2012. Part of the Poussin 1.8L manual comfort sedan produced during the date, involving a total of 7,544 vehicles.
In this recall, the torque of the connecting bolts in the lower part of the steering column of the individual vehicle steering column is deviated. In extreme cases, there is a risk of loosening, which may cause the steering failure of the vehicle and pose a safety hazard. Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. will inspect and re-tighten the connecting bolts involved in the lower part of the steering column gimbal disk for free to eliminate hidden dangers.
