Hebei investigated more than 80 tons of unqualified fertilizer

Since this year, the Baixiang County Bureau of Quality Supervision and Administration of Hebei Province has investigated and handled 18 batches of unqualified chemical fertilizers in a total concentration of more than 80 tons of fertilizers.

The Bureau accumulatively dispatched more than 170 law enforcement officers, visited more than 80 administrative villages in 6 townships, and conducted comprehensive inspections and spot checks on two chemical fertilizer production enterprises and 36 fertilizer distribution points in the county. A total of 49 batches of chemical fertilizers were sampled, 31 batches were qualified, and 18 batches were unqualified. The main problem of unqualified fertilizers is insufficient content of active ingredients, involving 18 fertilizer companies, 12 retail outlets, and more than 80 tons of chemical fertilizers. The Bureau has dealt with unqualified fertilizers and related production and distribution units in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, effectively standardized the fertilizer market and safeguarded the legitimate rights and interests of farmers.
